Online GCSE Spanish Tutor in London
One-to-one practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing, £30 per lesson
Plenty of students can read a Spanish paragraph and get the gist, then go quiet when someone asks them a question out loud. Our online GCSE Spanish tutor gives students in London and across the UK the regular one-to-one speaking practice a busy classroom rarely has time for.
Lessons cover all four skills the exam tests, with extra attention on the parts that changed in the new specification: reading aloud, dictation, and translation in both directions. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in the context of real exam tasks, so they stick.
All lessons are live online, from home, at times that suit school and family life. The first class is free.

What does online GCSE Spanish tutoring include?
Online GCSE Spanish tutoring with us covers speaking, listening, reading and writing, plus the grammar and vocabulary behind all four. Lessons are one to one and follow the new specification your child sits, with the most time spent on their weakest skill.
Speaking practice
Rehearsal of every speaking task, with unprepared follow-up questions so students learn to keep talking when the conversation goes off script.
Pronunciation and phonics
Reading aloud and dictation both test how Spanish sounds map to spelling. The tutor corrects sounds early, before habits set in.
Listening and dictation
Short, frequent listening drills build the speed needed to catch numbers, negatives and tense changes, then write sentences down accurately.
Reading and translation
Students practise translating Spanish into natural English and English into accurate Spanish, which needs grammar more than guesswork.
Writing
From short Foundation tasks to longer Higher answers, lessons focus on using a range of tenses, opinions and connectives correctly.
Grammar and vocabulary
Verb tables and word lists become usable through spaced recall and short sentences, rather than pages of copying.
Which GCSE Spanish exam boards do we prepare students for?
We prepare students for AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and Eduqas GCSE Spanish, including the new specifications first examined in summer 2026. Each board has four papers worth 25% each, taken at either Foundation or Higher tier.
| Paper | What it tests | What changed in the new specification | How the tutor helps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speaking | A role-play, reading a short text aloud, and a conversation based on a photo card or picture | Reading aloud is now a set task, and the whole test is shorter and more structured | Timed run-throughs of each task, with feedback on pronunciation, range and spontaneity |
| Listening | Understanding spoken Spanish, with questions in English | A new dictation section where students write down short sentences heard three times | Regular dictation drills and practice spotting tense, negatives and numbers |
| Reading | Understanding written texts and translating Spanish into English | Texts draw on a defined vocabulary list rather than an open word bank | Building recall of high-frequency words and accurate translation habits |
| Writing | Short and longer written tasks, including translation into Spanish | Vocabulary and grammar requirements are set out more precisely for each tier | Sentence building, tense control and checking work for common errors |
Who is our GCSE Spanish tutoring for?
Our GCSE Spanish tutoring is for Year 10 and Year 11 students on any board, resit students, and students who understand more than they can say. It also suits students moving between tiers and those who already speak some Spanish but need exam technique.
Quiet speakers
Students who understand well but hesitate to speak gain most from regular one-to-one conversation, where there is no class watching.
Students between tiers
Students near the Foundation and Higher boundary get focused work on the grammar and tenses that open up Higher marks.
Heritage speakers
Students who speak Spanish at home often lose marks on written accuracy and translation. Lessons target spelling, accents and formal structures.
Year 11 and resit students
Time goes straight to the speaking tasks and papers that cost the most marks, with timed practice before mocks and the summer series.
How do online GCSE Spanish lessons work?
Online GCSE Spanish lessons run live on video, with a shared screen and digital whiteboard for texts, grammar and vocabulary. You enquire, we arrange a free class with a Spanish tutor, and regular lessons start if your child finds it useful.
Enquire with the basics
Tell us the year group, exam board, tier if known, and which of the four skills is weakest.
We prepare
We may ask about mock results, speaking exam dates or teacher comments so the tutor can plan the first session.
Free one-to-one class
The tutor chats with the student in Spanish at the right level, finds the gaps and starts on one skill. Parents can join if they would like.
Set up regular lessons
If the class suited your child, we agree times that work around school.
Speak, practise, review
Lessons combine speaking practice, short listening or dictation drills and written tasks, with live corrections throughout.

Why choose GCSE Online Tutoring for Spanish?
Families choose us for GCSE Spanish because every lesson is one to one, which means far more speaking time than a class allows. The price is published, the first class is free, and practice follows the new specification your child actually sits.
More speaking time
In a one-to-one lesson the student does most of the talking, which is how speaking confidence actually grows.
Built on the new exams
Practice includes reading aloud, dictation and two-way translation, so nothing in the summer papers comes as a surprise.
Flat £30 per lesson
The cost is clear from the start, with no consultation needed to find it out.
A free first class
One free class per family, with no obligation, to see whether the tutor and the format suit your child.
Learning from home
Short, regular lessons are easier to fit into the week when there is no travel, and regularity is what language learning depends on.
A registered business
We are RS Remote Tutoring, an HMRC-registered sole trader business, with terms, refund and privacy policies published.
Do you provide GCSE Spanish tutoring across London and the UK?
Yes. Our GCSE Spanish tutoring is fully online, so students anywhere in London or the wider UK can take part. There is no tuition centre to reach, so a lesson fits between other commitments instead of taking up a whole evening.

Frequently asked questions about GCSE Spanish tutoring
How much does a GCSE Spanish tutor cost?
A GCSE Spanish tutor with us costs £30 per lesson. The first one-to-one class is free with no obligation, and we confirm lesson length and tutor availability when you get in touch.
Do you teach the new GCSE Spanish specification?
Yes. The new specifications, such as AQA 8692 and Pearson Edexcel 1SP1, were first taught in 2024 and first examined in 2026. Lessons cover their new tasks, including reading aloud, dictation and the defined vocabulary lists.
Can you really practise speaking Spanish online?
Yes, and it works well. A live video lesson is a natural way to rehearse role-plays, reading aloud and picture or photo card conversations, and the tutor can correct pronunciation the moment it slips.
Should my child sit Foundation or Higher tier?
The school makes the final entry decision, and all four papers must be taken at the same tier. Foundation covers grades 1 to 5 and Higher covers 4 to 9. A tutor can help you understand where your child currently sits so the conversation with school is better informed.
My child freezes in the speaking exam. Can you help?
Yes. Regular one-to-one speaking practice is the most reliable cure for nerves. The tutor builds up from prepared answers to unprepared follow-up questions so the real exam feels familiar.
Old past papers do not match the new exam. How do we practise?
Older papers still help with reading and listening comprehension, but tasks such as dictation and reading aloud are new. Our tutors set practice in the current format and use the board's published sample materials.
Can my child resit GCSE Spanish in November?
No. November resits are only available for English Language and Maths, so GCSE Spanish is resat in the summer series. The speaking assessment also has to be arranged through an exam centre.
How do I book a free Spanish class?
Complete the booking form or send us a WhatsApp message with the year group, exam board, tier and the skill your child finds hardest. We then arrange a free one-to-one class with a Spanish tutor.
