Booking a Free Class Terms

These terms explain the conditions for booking a free class, also known as a trial session, with our one-to-one GCSE tutors.

Purpose of the Free Class

The free class is intended to help parents and students understand how one-to-one online tutoring works and discuss the student’s needs.

It allows both parties to determine whether regular lessons are appropriate.

Who Can Book

Parents or guardians of students preparing for GCSE exams can book a free class. Students should typically be in Year 10 or Year 11 or preparing for a GCSE resit.

Only one free class may be offered per student or family.

What the Free Class May Include

  • Discussion of the student’s year group, exam board and subjects.
  • Identification of weak topics and areas for improvement.
  • Demonstration of how online tutoring works, including interactive tools.
  • Sample explanations, practice questions or study planning.
  • Guidance on how lessons can be scheduled and structured.

What Parents Should Provide Before Booking

To arrange a free class, parents should provide:

  • The student’s year group and GCSE subjects.
  • Exam board, such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR or WJEC, if known.
  • Foundation or Higher tier, if applicable.
  • Current challenges or weak topics.
  • Preferred days and times for the session.

Subject and Tutor Availability

Free class availability depends on tutor schedules and subject demand. We cannot guarantee that a particular tutor or subject will be available.

If no tutor is available at the requested time, we will suggest alternative times or subjects where possible.

No Guarantee of Ongoing Tutor Availability

Booking a free class does not guarantee that the same tutor will be available for regular lessons. Tutor schedules may change.

We will, however, do our best to match you with an appropriate tutor.

No Obligation

The free class is provided without obligation to purchase further lessons. Parents and students can decide whether to continue after the session.

Any decision to proceed with paid lessons will be subject to our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

Student Attendance and Behaviour

Students should attend the free class on time, be prepared to discuss their needs and behave respectfully.

Inappropriate behaviour may result in cancellation of the session.

Parent or Guardian Involvement

Parents or guardians may attend or observe the free class if they wish. We recommend being available to discuss scheduling and answer questions afterwards.

Rescheduling the Free Class

If you need to reschedule the free class, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to arrange a new time, subject to tutor availability.

Missed Free Class

If the student misses the free class without notice, we may not be able to offer another free session. Please let us know if you cannot attend.

What Happens After the Free Class

After the session, we will discuss whether ongoing lessons are suitable. If you decide to continue, lesson scheduling and payment terms will follow our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

No Guaranteed Grades or Outcomes

The free class is an exploratory session. We do not guarantee specific results, grade improvements or outcomes.

Progress depends on many factors, including the student’s participation and study habits.
